As water consumption increases, limiting its availability, the search for efficient systems to treat it becomes imperative. Filtration technology plays a decisive role and contributes considerably to solving this problem. Different filter materials, with various particle sizes and chemical-physical characteristics, will be tested and evaluated to treat wastewater and remove emerging contaminants.

Eligibility criteria
– Degree in Chemistry, Agricultural Sciences and Technologies or Forestry and Environmental Sciences (old system), or Specialist Degree/Master’s Degree belonging to the class of Second Degrees CLS-62/S and 77/S or equivalent, or qualification obtained foreign country recognized as equivalent according to current legislation;
– Research Doctorate in Crop Systems, Forestry and Environmental Sciences, or in Chemistry, or in BioEcoSystems and BioTechnology (or equivalent qualification based on current legislation); the research doctorate qualification is a mandatory requirement for admission to the competition;
– professional scientific curriculum suitable for carrying out the research activity; Foreign candidates must have adequate knowledge of the Italian language. Italian candidates must have adequate knowledge of the English language.

Selection process
The exam will consist of an interview on the topics relating to the research project and, more specifically, will focus on the following topics:
– wastewater treatment processes with particular focus on filtration and advanced oxidation processes;
– analytical techniques including chromatographic techniques, high and low resolution mass spectrometry.
Knowledge of the English language is required.
