DAI Global UK Ltd is seeking qualified consultant experts to expand its Global Health Roster across a broad range of technical areas. Candidates added to the roster would be considered for Short Term Technical Assistance (STTA) with assignments ranging from 2 weeks to 9 months in length, occasionally with longer roles on offer.

The role:
We are looking for Senior Experts (10+ Years of Experience) ideally with experience of working in one or more of the following countries: Bangladesh, DRC, Ethiopia, Malawi, Nepal, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Somalia, Kenya, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Zambia. DAI is especially interested in hearing from national experts in these listed countries.
Possible areas of technical and advisory assistance may include:
· Health system strengthening
· Health systems financing and/or administration
· Public health
· Newborn and child health
· Neglected tropical diseases
· Reproductive and maternal health
· Family planning
· Sexual reproductive health and rights
· Climate resilient health systems
· Climate resilient water sanitation and hygiene systems
· Nutrition
· Food system transformation, food safety and food security
· Health and humanitarian work (e.g.disaster preparedness and response integration, health systems in fragile and conflict states)
· Research, technology and innovation around health systems (e.g. private sector engagement, information systems)
· Multi-sectoral/cross-sector approach
· Political and economic analyses
· Social inclusion and gender equality in health programmes
Potential job duties/scope of work:
· Stakeholder management (e.g. engage stakeholders, facilitate and attend in-person/virtual meetings)
· Presentation and report writing
· Developing, writing and implementing policies, strategies, proposals and action plans
· Data collection and analysis
· Field visits
· Capacity building (government, partners)
· Influencing and advocacy work
· Monitoring and evaluation
· Learning and knowledge sharing with other consultants
· Project management
· Oversight to/collaborate with other consultants (if necessary)
Experience and Expertise
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline or field; advanced degree preferred
· Ten (10) or more years of relevant technical experience
· Country experience: Bangladesh, DRC, Ethiopia, Malawi, Nepal, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Somalia, Kenya, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Yemen. DAI are especially interested in receiving CVs from national consultants in these listed countries
· And/or experience in designing, supporting, assessing and evaluating global coordination, assistance and support mechanisms, such as the Global Health Initiatives
· Prior experience working closely with local partners and government officials to strengthen national institutions, systems, policies and coordination
· Prior experience in activity planning and implementation or working productively on a team
· Experience working for the UK Government, and in particular with FCDO country posts, is desirable
· Professional proficiency in English. Fluency in French, Arabic and other relevant languages desirable
