- Our ideal candidate will be comfortable with communicating our findings to C-suite executives and will develop an understanding of our water technology adoption model.
- You will be expected to present high-quality briefings at international water technology conferences in events in a key, client liaision role.
- Your writing style will be analytical and crisp – focused on communicating actionable insights as efficiently and effectively as possible.
- You will quickly get to grips with the underlying principles of new water technologies and the dynamics of emerging markets.
Role summary:
You will interview companies, digest industry news, analyse market data, and write accurate and high-quality strategic reports. With the support of our industry experts in our Technology Advisory Group, you will research and write about a wide variety of technologies and markets, from anaerobic membrane bioreactors to zero liquid discharge.
You will present market insights and research ouputs to a C suite level audience of executives in workshops, web briefings and international conferences.
Being able to write clearly and concisely is a must. You will be able to quickly distil information, apply critical thought and present it in an easy-to-digest format.
This role is likely to appeal to an engineer or scientist with a desire to continue to learn and develop in their profession.
The main tasks are:
- Author reports and articles based on analysis of primary and secondary research data, e.g., phone interviews, reading peer-reviewed papers.
- Investigate and profile technology companies to assess their technology and business model; be able to compare technologies at a high level
- Take an active part in workshops and other collaborative sessions to present our findings to clients
- Maintain industry knowledge and comment on, water sector news which impacts the market – M&A, partnerships, project announcements, technology adoption.
- Support sales and marketing colleagues in client and prospect meetings
- Represent the company at conferences and industry forums
- Liaise with and maintain a positive relationship with clients
- Support colleagues on consulting projects such as market studies, technology assessments and market sizing
You will have:
- Direct experience or knowledge of water/wastewater treatment technologies – ideally 1- 4 years of work experience, or a relevant Masters or PhD in a specific water technology area.
- Excellent written English skills – you should ideally be able to proofread other’s work.
- A keen attention to detail and highly effective organisation skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- High levels of intellect, being able to absorb information quickly.
- Excellent communication skills. You will be comfortable participating in telephone interviews and (online) meetings.
- A keen interest in innovation in water.
This is a remote position but locations as close as possible to Irish time (GMT+1) are preferred.
