Description
The Department of Geography in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Water Resources and Hydrology. We are searching for a physical geographer who has a strong research and teaching record in surface and near-surface hydrology. This is a nine-month, full-time annual appointment with an anticipated start date of August 2025.
In addition to research expectations, the successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and supervise graduate students. Faculty are also expected to participate in appropriate disciplinary service and contribute to departmental and university committees.
The Department of Geography (artsci.tamu.edu/geography) has twenty-two faculty members with strengths in biogeography, climatology, geographic information science and technology (GIST), geomorphology, human geography, and human-environment relationships. We are one of eighteen departments in the College of Arts & Sciences (http://artsci.tamu.edu).

Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Geography or a related field is required.
Candidates should be student-focused and dedicated to providing high quality education for a range of students.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated potential for excellence in research with a record of scholarly publications. We also expect that successful candidates will have experience in or demonstrated potential for securing external research funding.
