Our Water Modelling team is currently seeking to appoint an Assistant Modeller in surface water that will report to the lead hydrologist and assist in the investigation and analysis in the area of hydrology and hydraulics to provide data information to inform water management policy and planning in NSW. The Water Modelling team consists of over 30 high performing modelling specialists. To find out more see: Surface Water Modelling.
About You
To be successful in the role, you will have knowledge and qualification in one or more of the following hydrologic disciplines: water resources management modelling, catchment process modelling, statistics, computer programming, application of spatial modelling and hydraulic modelling.
Our Assistant Modeller will assist in the investigation and analysis in the area of hydrology, water resources and hydraulics to provide data to inform water management decisions. They will be required to analyse and interpret results from the hydrologic models to provide reliable and accurate information on which policy can be developed.
You will be a member of various projects and teams, assisting in the delivery of projects for water management planning and policy. You will do this by keeping up to date and informed about water resource management agenda of the NSW Government and how it affects your area of expertise.
Essential Requirements
- Degree level qualifications in Engineering, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
