Job Description: Manager
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager to join our team. As a manager,
you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving business development, and
ensuring the success of our organization. This is a leadership role that requires strong
supervisory skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a strategic mindset.
The watershed manager roles and responsibilities include working with the MJRWS Board of
Directors, developing and implementing watershed projects and programs throughout the
MJRWS. Serve as the liaison with the various partners and stakeholders. Be responsible for
formulating communication materials such as: newsletters, press releases, articles and
publications including updating the Association website. Organize and attend trade shows, field
days, workshops and conferences which are relevant to the objectives of the Association. Keep
the stakeholders/members informed of the projects and programs being delivered by the
Association. Organize and attend all board and committee meetings and maintains complete
and accurate minutes. Maintains and organizes all files and records. Apply for project and
program funding opportunities to grow the Association. Bring forward ideas, programs and look
for opportunities which will benefit the membership.
This position is a part time position with opportunity to grow to full time. You will be required to
report to the MJRWS Board of Directors. This is a permanent part time position based in Moose
Jaw.
Responsibilities:
– Lead and manage a team of employees, providing guidance and support to achieve
departmental goals
– Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and increase profitability
– Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement effective solutions
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects
– Monitor sales performance and develop strategies to maximize revenue
– Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
– Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement
– Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
– Proven experience in business development, process improvement, project management,
sales, supervising, and leadership roles
– Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
The salary for this role is from $25-$30/hr pending experience.
