Job Description
Position located in Philippines
The Development Innovations Group, a CRDF Global company, is seeking a Chief of Party (COP) for a forthcoming USAID-funded program to support the Government of the Philippines’ water security goals.
The Chief of Party will be based in the Philippines and will lead the management of the program, provide technical direction to staff and experts, build strong relationships with local partners, and adapt program activities as needed to maximize results.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the program, providing strategy and a vision for success, as well as clear direction to staff and consultants on activities and results to be achieved;
- Serve as a main point of contact for USAID and governmental stakeholders;
- Ensure contractual compliance and oversee implementation of activities, both technically and financially, and maximize impact and sustainability;
- Oversee financial and administrative matters;
- Strengthen relationships with regional and partner organizations in accordance with Localization at USAID: The Vision and Approach, and coordinate with other stakeholders to contribute to coherence of efforts;
- Lead the production and timely submission of deliverables to the donor, including programmatic and financial reports, work plans, and the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Plan;
- Track performance and adapt program implementation based on evidence, and provide technical support and solutions to team members as needed;
- Coordinate with Talent Management to support team members, maximize efficiency, and enhance adaptability.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in water and sanitation engineering, natural resource management, environmental science and/or policy, or related fields;​
- Minimum of 10 years managing USAID programs; knowledge of USAID rules and regulations required;
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience and expertise in water security and sanitation issues; ​
- Extensive and substantive experience working with counterparts at various levels of government, as well as with non-government organizations in managing international development assistance projects;
- Strong technical expertise, superb management and relationship building skills, and exceptional writing and communications skills in English.
- Excellent cultural awareness and emotional intelligence;
- Experience supervising diverse staff;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically.
