While we continue to conquer new frontiers with our innovative interventions across geographies through several multi-year programmes to bring about sustainable change at scale in the lives of poor and marginalised communities, we often face challenges in capturing and disseminating the good work which we do and bring them to the notice of governments, donors, community-based organisations, academics, employees and programme participants.
Here is where you come in.
As a part of your job role within the larger Media and Communication function, you will lead the collection, curation and creation of rich and engaging content which will help accelerate awareness, interest and image of the WaterAid brand, keeping existing supporters and well- wishers motivated, as well as attract new prospects.
What will be your responsibilities
Content strategy and planning
- Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy
- Create and manage a content calendar
- Identify key themes, messages, and storytelling opportunities
Content creation and curation
- Produce high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content and campaigns for various platforms including the website, social media, newsletters, and print materials
Content editing and proofreading
- Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency with the organization’s tone and style guidelines
Campaigns and special projects
- Plan and execute campaigns to support fundraising, advocacy, and awareness initiatives
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop content for special projects and events
- Support the development of presentations, speeches, and other communication materials
Performance tracking and reporting
- Track and analyze content performance using analytics tools and prepare regular reports • Present findings and recommendations to the communications team and senior management.
Capacity Building
- Provide training and guidance to staff and volunteers on content creation and communication best practices
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and content marketing techniques
Who are we looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or a related field
- Proven experience in content management-collection, curation, creation, dissemination
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Good videography and basic editing skills
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), social media platforms and analytics
- Between 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience
- Interest in and knowledge of humanitarian issues in India
- Strong relationship and networking skills
