Student and team member of a European research project on Nature Based Solutions which aim to find solutions to improve water retention and water cycle and proofs of effects.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will join the EMAC service team, and will contribute, under the authority

of their department head and the SpongeScapes project manager, to the following missions:

– Participation in project meetings and exchanges with European partners (mainly remotely)

and collaborations with them,

– Revision of the structure and content of the catalogue of natural water retention

measures (www.nwrm.eu),

– Definition of additional information to be collected from those carrying out referenced

case studies,

– Contact with key stakeholders of the case studies referenced on the nwrm.eu website for

updates and additions,

– Updated case study sheets and added other relevant content to the project website,

– Analysis of impacts, participation in discussions on indicators,

– Contribution to the development and life of the service and OiEau (sharing of experience,

definition of common tools and methodologies).

Qualifications

Languages: French (European level B2 minimum) and English required (native or minimum

TOEIC level 850), other European languages appreciated

Technical skills :

– Specialization in Ecological Engineering or strong interest in this theme,

– Notions of scientific mediation and popularization,

– Knowledge of stakeholders involved in water resources management,

– Knowledge of hydrological modelling principles,

– Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (map production).

Abilities:

– Autonomy and curiosity,

– Good writing skills,

– Good communication skills.
