The member at this site will help build the capacity of environmental stewardship and education programs serving youth and communities of northeast Missouri. The member will expand the reach of community river and lake clean-up events, recruit and train volunteers, and market opportunities for youth and community members to participate in environmental stewardship activities. The member will work with a committee of educators to develop plans for development of additional water education programming for youth within the region.

Member Duties : The AmeriCorps member at this site will develop the reach of water stewardship and education programs serving youth and communities of Northeast Missouri. The member will help expand the reach of community river and lake cleanup events, recruit and train volunteers, and build communications and networking among volunteers in the region. The member will work with a committee of educators to develop plans for expanding the reach and capacity of water quality education and stewardship programs offered to youth in the region. The member will assist with grant writing and fundraising activities to create a long-term sustainable water education program for the region.
