Ramboll is offering an internship in the International Water and Climate Resilience department. As our new Intern in International Climate Resilience you will be part of a team that works locally and globally with cities and governments at multiple levels, public utilities, and other asset owners to prepare their systems, infrastructure, and citizens for the future climate changes.

We work within water, climate change adaptation and urban development across all stages of the project cycle. Our projects include storm surge protection for the entire coastline of Singapore, cloudburst masterplans for the City of New York and new drinking water treatment technology in Florida. We work within policy and planning, advising the European Commission on their role in water and climate adaptation governance at the EU level or other donors with their climate investments planning.

Internship in Environmental and Climate Resilience Policy

  • Engineering/Management profile: we are looking for a motivated, holistic-thinking student with an interest in environmental policy, climate resilience governance, climate adaptation planning, and sustainability financing. A profile combining various disciplines (including but not limited to environmental management, environmental policy, international development, international relations, engineering) is a strong asset. This position is for you if you combine strong analytical, organizational and management skills, administrative abilities, a flair for leadership, and communication skills.
  • Content development: support the development of policy assessments, policy briefs, strategies, concept notes, white papers, and designs, as well as implementation of project excellence initiatives with focus on project management, activity tracking, resource planning standards, and organizational leadership. 
  • Communication: you will help formulate presentations, sketching, minutes of meetings, workshop materials, project references, power points, technical memos, proofreading of reports and deliverables.
  • Project administration & management: You will support with daily administration and management activities including updating internal and external online platforms, uploading and downloading deliverables, organizing files and folders, writing technical interim reports, setting-up meetings, writing meeting agendas and minutes, support with overall planning.

All our interns will be contributing to reporting, communication and project administration. This includes contributing to writing, formatting and proofreading of memos, reports and deliverables, formulating presentations, organizing stakeholder consultations and workshops. Furthermore, it includes support with daily administration and management activities including updating internal and external online platforms, uploading and downloading deliverables, organizing files and folders, setting-up meetings, writing meeting agendas and minutes, support with overall planning.

  • You are in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s degree or are currently studying for a master’s degree in a relevant field at an educational institution in Denmark.

  • You work independently and are an active team player
  • Strong interest in water and climate related matters and technologies, connected to masterplanning and urban development
  • Willingness to learn and work in a team, and in possession of excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • You work in a structured way and have an eye for details
  • Fluent oral and written English is essential. French or other languages are an advantage but not a precondition

The internship is full time (37 hours/week) starting the 1st September 2024 to 31st January 2025.

The location will be at the Ramboll Head Office in Copenhagen located next to Ørestad Metro station.
