Job Description
Sheladia Associates is seeking a professional Water and Sanitation Engineer to join our team for an upcoming South Sudan Women’s Social and Economic Empowerment Project (SSWSEEP), funded by the World Bank.
The development objective of the SSWEEP is to: “Increase girls and women’s access to livelihood, entrepreneurial and GBV services and to strengthen the government’s capacity to provide these services”. The project aims to address challenges related to women and girls limited access to a) livelihoods and economic opportunities, b) entrepreneurship skills, including skills in business development, product packaging, branding, and marketing, and access to business development financing, c) and women and adolescent girls limited access to protection, information and comprehensive multi-sectoral SGBV services.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Water & Sanitation Engineering
• Minimum of five (5) years of general experience in building projects, with at least three (3) years as a lead water & sanitation engineer involved in planning, design, and construction supervision.
• Demonstrated experience of minimum two (2) similar projects in managing assignments similar to the present services in developing countries in Africa, specifically as a lead water & sanitation engineer
• Position of a professional license.
