WELL Labs is seeking a highly experienced Research Manager to lead a program focused on developing outcome-oriented, accurate, and useful water security indicators for the Indian context.
About the Position
The Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in engaging with stakeholders such as civil society organisations, donors, and governments to understand current water management indicators in use.
The candidate is also expected to lead a review of relevant academic literature and international practices to identify relevant water security indicators. Working closely with the remote sensing team at WELL Labs, the Senior Research Manager will spearhead the development of scalable indicators.
Location: India (Bengaluru or Delhi)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Water Security Indicators programme to develop accurate and effective water security indicators.
- Engage with stakeholders including civil society organisations, donors, and governments to understand existing water management indicators and requirements.
- Lead a comprehensive literature survey to identify relevant water security indicators from academic sources and global practices.
- Collaborate with the remote sensing team at WELL Labs to develop and implement remote sensing indicators at scale.
- Manage multiple pilot projects with NGO partners, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones and outcomes.
- Work closely with donors to understand project requirements and ensure alignment with project goals and expectations.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Represent WELL Labs in conferences, workshops, and other industry events to showcase project outcomes and foster partnerships.
