Hydroinformatics Institute (“H2i”) is looking to strengthen our modelling team with an InlandModeller (Water Resources/Urban flood/Hydraulics) to support the execution and management of consultancy projects in climate change adaptation and urban flooding.
Responsibilities
What you will do as our Inland Modeller (Water Resources)
- Implement, calibrate, validate urban flood models with a variety of software (e.g., MIKE 1D, MIKE URBAN,HEC-RAS, TUFLOW etc.)
- Execute and manage consultancy projects related to inland/urban flood projects and real-time control applications within projects.
- Contribute to technical reports and technical meeting presentation for projects.
- Support in documentation related to consultancy projects and model development.
- Communicate with clients to discuss project progress and project related matters on a regular basis.
- Contribute to technical proposals.
Qualifications
It will be a good fit if you
- Have a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in relevant fields (Environmental/Civil engineering, Water resources management, Numerical modelling)
- Have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in working with urban flood/hydraulics modelling suite software packages such as TuFLOW, MIKE, SOBEK
- Experience with QGIS/ArcGIS or Python/Matlab is preferred.
- Have experience in time-series and statistical analysis.

- Have experience in management of consultancy projects
- Are able to communicate and present ideas clearly within and outside of own domain.
