This position is located within the National Weather Service (NWS), Northwest River Forecast Center (NWRFC) with two vacancies located in Portland, OR.
As a Hydrologist, you will perform the following duties:
- Perform daily hydrologic forecast functions including the production of mission-critical river forecasts during high water and flood events and seasonal forecasts to support stakeholder needs.
- Develop, modify, maintain, and utilize computer hardware and software components in support of the agency’s hydrology program.
- Assimilate and analyze water resource data related to river conditions or reservoir operations.
