We are a global federation of companies and associations. We advocate for our members, provide them with critical opportunities to network and build partnerships, and we inform them before they make commercial decisions to develop their business.

We intend to expand and diversify our membership so that we are an even greater collective of organisations working in water, sanitation and climate change. To do this we need a Marketing and Membership Coordinator to plan and implement programmes to attract and retain new members.

The Coordinator will be part of the AquaFed Secretariat team and report directly to the Executive Director. The Coordinator will work with a skilled intern. The role will involve some travel and work autonomously and remotely from other team members who are spread across different regions.

The role is primarily for someone to work at home but also on average two days a month in Paris or Brussels.

Role Objectives

· To increase the membership of the organisation in both its membership colleges.

· To support the Executive Director to devise a marketing strategy and plan.

· To plan and deliver marketing-focused communication and events to interest and attract new members.

Main responsibilities

· Development of AquaFed’s membership offer – designing and delivering a membership programme of services and activities for current and new members.

· Assist in initial work on segmentation of membership journeys to refine and tailor membership propositions.

· Cultivating and participating in wider networks to promote AquaFed and ensure we are reaching and supporting members from a broad range of backgrounds and locations.

· Communicating and marketing the benefits of membership of AquaFed to current and potential members using existing and new communication tools.

· Planning and delivering member events and communication, including the regular members’ newsletter and AquaFed’s external communication channels.

· General support to other Secretariat activities including partnership work with key external stakeholders eg UN agencies, international donors and governments.

Knowledge and qualifications

· Marketing qualification or equivalent experience.

· Events management.

· Excellent IT skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and have strong copy writing skills.

· Digital and social media channels.

· Languages: English essential and another European language desirable.

Experience

· Understanding of membership organisations.

· Knowledge and interest in the environment and climate change.

· Marketing programme delivery.

· Managing membership marketing retention and acquisition campaigns.

· Producing marketing and promotional materials in a range of formats.

· Track record of independently building and executing marketing plan, that support core business objectives.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
