Role: The incumbent is responsible for implementing of Lake restoration Projects, Water conservation Projects in Karnataka State who should Monitor the Timely Projects implementation, Community engagement, Data collection, Liaison with government officials and stakeholder engagement as per project requirements expected from this role.

Responsibilities:

  1. Preparation of Project Implementation Plan as per the agreed timelines with Donor. 
  2. Regular update on project progress and providing data for the MIS.
  3. Mentor and assign the works to the field staff and monitor of the same on regular basis.
  4. Enhance the knowledge for the ground team on the projects.
  5. Interact with stakeholders, Govt officials and with elected representatives and need to build rapport to foreseen and assist the Senior team in overcoming the obstacles at the field.
  6. Mobilising the community and formation of associations or user groups at Village or ward level.
  7. Day to today monitor of the work, both quantity and quality
  8. Report writing and project status updates on as per agreed timelines (Monthly/ Quarterly)
  9. Getting works and coordinating from the contractors.
  10. Participate in discussion with Government officials for approvals and works related process.
  11. Providing data to senior team in future projects proposal development
  12. Participating in periodic cadence meetings to update the project status with all team members.
  13. Work closely with Line Manager and other support functions in the organisation.
  14. Validation of works and initiating the payment process to the vendors or partners.
  15. Keep a repository of Project related progress and update it on regular basis.
  16. Keep the time stamp photos and build the repository.
  17. Data compile with regards to the project beneficiary.
  18. Developing first drafts of the monthly, quarterly, half yearly reports and short summaries as        required
  19. Build and develop of Project related case stories.
  20. With help of support functions making story about each Project from Begin to end.
  21. Ensure timely, concise, and accurate reporting to leadership and or to external donors.
  22. Always ensure professionalism.
  23. Ensure that the organization policies and protocols are being adhered to at all levels.
  24. Ensure strict adherence to data confidentiality and security.
  25. Willingness to travel 60% of the time on project requirements.
  26. Be available for volunteering, disaster response and other emergency needs.
  27. Take responsibility in designing assigned projects whenever necessary.

  3. Ensure the team is adequately staffed to implement all the programs for the domain/ geographies.
  4. Train, mentor, and groom team to build their capabilities and improve their performance. 

Educational Qualifications

  • The candidate should be a graduate or postgraduate with 7-9 years of work experience in environment projects and at least 4-5 years of experience in water related projects.
  • The candidate should know English and Hindi and any other regional language (Kannada would be an added advantage).
  • The role requires extensive travel so the candidate should be open to travel for work related assignments.
