Position Overview
One Water Econ is looking for a mid-level professional to join our team. Ideal candidates will be experienced performing work in areas related to water resource economics, planning, and policy. We are looking for someone with the expertise and skills to support our work, expand our areas of expertise/interest, and to help to strategically grow the firm. We’re also looking for someone who can appreciate the need for flexibility in company administration, can self-manage IT and other office environment needs.
Applicants will be expected to conduct quantitative analyses, perform qualitative research, write reports, work directly with clients, and manage multiple projects/tasks. Position will also include conducting and supporting business development opportunities, such as writing proposals, presenting at conferences, and participating in other networking activities.
Position is full-time and remote as One Water Econ has no centralized office location. The firm is U.S. based and we will only consider candidates living/based in the U.S. Some travel will be required for team or client meetings, conferences, and other firm business.
Qualifications
• Preference for a master’s-level graduate degree in water or natural resource economics. Will also consider similar educational qualifications in environmental policy, or a directly related field. Must have at least 3 years of experience working in relevant water or natural resource management fields (previous consulting or similar experience is preferred).
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, including data management and analysis.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, statistical programs (e.g., Python, R, Stata, and/or SAS), and database programs. Experience performing spatial analysis with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is preferred but not required.
• Desire/ability to work directly with clients and manage projects related to natural/water resource economics, planning, and/or policy.
• Desire to manage key aspects of the business and further develop practice areas.
• Demonstrated personal initiative, a flexible attitude, and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail, with proven commitment to excellence and quality control.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits Package
One Water Econ offers a benefits package that includes a health reimbursement account (HRA) to help cover medical premiums; 401(k) plan and matching; profit sharing opportunities; and paid time off. Salary range: $90,00-110,000 depending upon experience. Remote work supplies and similar expenses reimbursable within reason.
