The State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Water Quality has an opening for an Environmental Scientist in the Ocean Standards Unit. The position is located at 1001 I Street, 15th Floor, Sacramento CA 95814, with the opportunity for hybrid telework.
Duties:
Under the close supervision of the Senior Environmental Scientist, the incumbent will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team tasked with developing statewide water quality control plans and policies, or amendments thereof, such as the Water Quality Control Plan for Ocean Waters of California. The incumbent will use biological, chemical, and physical principles and information to develop recommendations for beneficial uses of ocean waters, appropriately protective water quality objectives, and implementation programs.
