  • Clerk Grade 9/10, salary ranges from $120,859 – $133,183 + super
  • Temporary until 30 June 2025

Our Communications, Media & Engagement team in Water Group of the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Community & Stakeholder Engagement Advisor.

The Water Group leads the NSW Government in providing confidence to communities and stakeholders with the transparent stewardship of water resources, provision of services and reforms that support sustainable and healthy environments, economies and societies across NSW.

The Senior Community and Stakeholder Engagement Advisor will develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies for water infrastructure projects, undertake stakeholder engagement and work to continuously improve and innovate stakeholder engagement practices across the department.

About You

  • A highly motivated engagement specialist with an educational background or work experience in stakeholder and community engagement
  • Experience in community engagement for infrastructure projects, or experience of working in government in a community engagement role highly desirable
  • Experience in using a wide range of engagement methods and tools for different audiences. 
  • The ability to work in collaboration with a large group of internal stakeholders as well as being adept in building relationships with the external stakeholders interested in our programs
  • Well-developed communications skills, both verbal and written, adjustable to the wide range of audiences you meet with
  • Proven skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and changing deadlines 
  • Able to regularly travel to regional areas to aid the coordination of community and stakeholder engagement activities.
