Offer Description
The Transilvania University of Braşov is organizing a recruitment competition to fill a vacant temporary contract position of research assistant with higher education, for a fixed period at the Faculty of Construction, Department of Civil Engineering. The position is available in MULTICARE HORIZON EUROPE Project in which Transilvania University is partner. Competition documents are checked at the Human Resources Service, daily between 12.00 and 15.00 and then submitted to the Transilvania University Registry in Brașov (Rectorate building), B-dul Eroilor no. 29 Brașov, Romania, until 18.06.2024 inclusive. Skills/Qualifications
Minimum education level: master’s degree in the fields of Geography or Hydrotechnics.
Knowledge of Python and R programming languages with emphasis on the use of libraries used in automating the workflow of hydraulic models (example: HEC-RAS hydraulic model).
Knowledge of HEC-RAS hydraulic modelling software.
Hydrological data processes for managing in HEC-DSS type databases.
Solid knowledge of GIS spatial analysis software (ArcGIS 10.x, QGIS).
Specific Requirements
English language at least intermediate level, necessary for documentation from international specialized literature
Ability to work in a team and motivational energy
