We are looking for a Civil Engineer to join our Wellington Water team, in our 2025 Graduate Programme. You’ll be a part of our wider New Zealand Water team who provides advisory, planning, modelling and design services across urban water, wastewater, and stormwater systems as well as water resources.
By joining our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on significant, country shaping projects, with great prospects for career growth as the business continues to grow. You’ll have the opportunity to be at the front end of managed outcomes for a range of stakeholders, both clients and customers, and be able to develop your ability to consult across a wide range of engineering problems.
Some of the projects we have been involved are:
• Rosedale Wastewater Treatment Plant
• Snell’s Beach WWTP
• Safe Swim app, in collaboration with Digital Ventures Moata platform
• Local stream repairs – Wellesley College Wellington
• Duck Creek WW Storage Tank – saving local harbours from stormwater overflows
YOUR GRADUATE PROGRAM
Our Asia Pacific, New Zealand, and Australia (APNA) program includes a variety of non-technical workshops (formal learning), Early career professional committee activities, self-paced learning, and networking opportunities.
In your first year of the program, you will get to know us, your team, our sectors, and life in consulting. We provide tools and resources to build interpersonal skills, develop professional and social networks and gain an understanding of our company, our ways of working and our industry.
In year two of the program, the focus is on establishing your reputation and we spend time refining interpersonal skills, understanding self and adapting communication styles to influence and drive positive outcomes.
In the final year, we shift to greater independence with less formal learning and focus on building a profile in and outside of our business.
