Role responsibilities
- The Junior Water engineer will assist the Senior Engineers in Preparation of preliminary and detailed designs of Water/Sanitation/Civil- infrastructure and development of project proposals that covers the following aspects:
- Assist in designs, calculations and analysis of water and sewage infrastructure systems.
- Assist in producing other key deliverables on projects, such as technical reports, tender documents (bill of quantities, engineering cost estimates, contract documents, specifications and procurement documentation)
- Assist in undertaking engineering field investigations and work supervision.
- Assist in preparation of expression of interests (EOI) and Request for Proposals (RFP)
- Ensure that all work complies with company quality control procedures and required quality standards.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- A minimum of 3 years experience as a Junior Civil Engineer in the water/civil sector.
- Registration with Engineers Board of Kenya as a Graduate Engineer.
- Computer literate and knowledgeable in the use of Ms Office Suite.
- Knowledgeable in the use of engineering software such as-EPANET, AutoCAD and Civil3D.
- Experience in design of water supply, treatment, and sanitation systems.
- Experience in detailing of engineering drawings.
- Excellent people skills including interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Be a team player that is willing to collaborate across multiple disciplines and international geographies.
