Path breaking transformational work on the ground needs support from many well-wishers- foremost amongst them corporates. Private and public sector enterprises need to participate in our mission to bring about desired changes in the lives of poor and marginalized communities.
The Corporate Partnership function within the WaterAid resource mobilization vertical offers a dynamic and innovative role. You will be part of a team which will establish new partnerships and nurture existing ones, creating shared value by mutually leveraging each other’s knowledge, skills and resources.
Your expertise and experience in developing relationships with corporates will motivate them to make us partners to help them fulfil their social responsibility and philanthropy commitments, so that together we are able to create impact at scale.
What will be your responsibilities?
Bringing corporates on board to partner with WaterAid (75% of your time will be devoted to this)
- Build awareness and sensitize stakeholders about water, sanitation and hygiene issues and motivate them to take action
- Track and list funding opportunities and maintain a pipeline of potential donors
- Identify, evaluate and track opportunities for lead generation like events, conferences, and seminars. Also, participate in such forums as and when required
- Raise funds from Indian corporates as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility commitment which is mandatory
- Support in proposal development process by engaging with different stakeholders as and when required
Donor servicing support (this will take up 25% of your time)
- Coordinate with the program, finance, monitoring and evaluation teams to ensure that high-quality reports are submitted as per agreed timelines
- Successfully conduct the due-diligence process necessary for the donor partnership
What is your knowledge and experience?
- Graduate or postgraduate, preferably in business management/ social development from a reputed institute
- 6-10 years of relevant work experience in business development, preferably within the
- social sector
- Working knowledge of Corporate Social Responsibility, Grants Management preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
