The Geologist/Hydrogeologist position will support state-wide groundwater investigations for emerging compounds, including PFAS compounds, and other special groundwater-related emerging compounds projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with collecting groundwater quality samples throughout the statewide monitoring well network.
- Provide hydrogeologic interpretations and data analyses.
- Improve access to and visualizations of groundwater quality data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to share groundwater quality data and coordinate investigations.
- Assist in developing the Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP).
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in emerging compounds news and research as related to groundwater investigations and remediation.
- Develop and present educational programs and workshops for students, teachers, environmental educators, environmental lawyers, non-profits, and division staff.
