Our Volunteer Assistants play a crucial role in making World Water Week an engaging and memorable event. They help the team with various tasks and get the opportunity to attend sessions, network with water professionals, and meet people from around the globe.

As part of the World Water Week team, you will play a key role in making sure attendees feel welcome and connected. You will be the face of SIWI during the conference and you will also have the opportunity to gain professional experience and learn from world-renowned experts.

50% of your time will be dedicated to supporting the organization of World Water Week. The other 50% will be free for you to network, attend sessions and social events

Your role will be to perform and assist with various tasks throughout the event. The main responsibilities are: 

  • Assisting speakers and presenters to set up their sessions  
  • Scanning delegate badges 
  • Helping participants to navigate the venue    
  • Welcoming guests    
  • Ensuring event registration   
  • Supporting with small scale logistical tasks  
  • Helping with communications and digital platforms  
  • Setting up closed meetings and mingle events 

You will be assigned a daily shift (morning or afternoon) for the duration of the Week and you will be briefed in advance on your role. You will also be required to join the compulsory orientation at Stockholm Waterfront on the 24 August, 2024.

To join World Water Week as a Volunteer Assistant you have to be minimum 18 years old, and you have to make yourself available from 24-29 August, 2024.
