Project Title: Consultancy Services Hydrological Information and Products Expert

Nile Basin Initiative (NBI) is an intergovernmental partnership of the ten Nile Basin States that aims to develop the river basin in a cooperative manner, reduce poverty, reverse environment degradation, share substantial socio-economic benefits, to promote regional peace and security. One of the key missions of the partnership is to strengthen collaborative monitoring of the basin for optimal utilization and sustainable management of the shared water and related natural resources. In this regards NBI has collaborated with Member States to establish a comprehensive suite of regional hydrological monitoring system that collects, transmit and manage real-time river flow and lake level and quality information to the national data centres via GSM module and satellite technologies. To leverage on the system and the availability of near real-time hydrological data, NBI would like to hire the services of a consultant to provide technical and professional expertise in the development of operational hydrological information to support water resources management decisions in the Member States and the basin.
