Position Qualification

Position SummaryUNMC’s College of Public Health, Department of Environmental, Agricultural, and Occupational Health is seeking a post-doctoral research associate to complete an awarded project in the Water, Climate, and Health Program. This project will attempt to compare environmental exposures that contribute to pediatric cancer incidence between states. This project will evaluate societal and environmental differences between Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri that potentially contribute to the occurrence of pediatric cancer. Postdoctoral researchers will be responsible for conducting the research for Aims 1, 2, and 3 of the project. They will carry out the analysis and initial interpretation of the results. This project is funded for 3 years. We will be funding two post-doctoral candidates on this request/project.
Required QualificationsApplicants must have received, or expect to complete a doctoral degree in Epidemiology, Environmental Health, Public Health Preparedness, or a closely related field before the start of the position. The successful candidate must have the ability to engage in independent research, be diligent and meticulous in their attitude towards work, and be collegial in their interactions. Applicants must have a strong epidemiological methods background and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
