Campaigns Project Manager
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £41,196 – £43,256 with excellent benefits
Location: London, United Kingdom,
Hybrid Working: A minimum of 40% of working time is spent face to face, either in the London office or as a result of external engagement or travel for WaterAid. WaterAid is located at Canary Wharf, London and this will be your location and contract base for candidates based in the United Kingdom.

About the Team:
The Supporter Engagement Team sits within the Mass Engagement Department. The team is responsible for retaining and increasing the engagement of a £34 million income stream comprising of 700,000+ individual supporters. This is achieved through an audience-led communication programme of diverse channels (including mail, phone, email, mobile and social media). Communication activities include our cash appeals, email marketing programme, Gift Aid activity, welcome programme, supporter feedback & impact communications including a supporter magazine, regular giving and word-of-mouth activity and mass campaigning.
About the role:
As our enthusiastic Campaigns Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing WaterAid’s mass campaigning strategy to influence governments and policy makers, driving campaigning actions through stunning, personal, story-led communications. The purpose of which is to increase our political impact and inspire supporters to advocate to end the water crisis.
This role leads on developing and implementing WaterAid’s mass campaigning strategy to influence governments and policy makers, maximising political impact and supporter engagement, identifying opportunities to test innovative ideas.
You’ll also:
- Devise and manage appropriate supporter journeys for campaigners, developing a relationship with supporters to ensure their support is maximised
- Create phenomenal personal communications, that develop supporter conversations and make lifetime connections
- Help build a team that everyone wants to work with and for, and where people do work that most interests them
- Lead a rigorous test to learn methodology, regularly monitoring, evaluating and analysing the impact of campaigns, providing regular results and recommendations for strategy development based on data-driven and market insight;
About You:
- A good understanding of mass campaigning principles, and a strong interest in creating meaningful individual political actions that result in change
- Proven experience in a successful mass campaigning, direct marketing, fundraising, supporter engagement and/or customer marketing role
- Solid project management experience, with the ability to manage large, complex projects from start to finish, working to agreed timescales and outcomes and with multiple stakeholders
- A passion for creating phenomenal unexpected personal story-led creative, which tell of extraordinary human experiences
