The Senior Project Officer supports the Portfolio Compliance and Operations team in ensuring the ongoing effective governance and compliance of Victoria’s Water Portfolio entities. Building and sustaining strong working relationships with industry stakeholders within DEECA and across government, as well as within the Water Portfolio entities, will be essential to the successful implementation of best practice compliance monitoring and reporting.
This position oversees and manages project delivery and coordination activities for Victorian water entities including strategic assessments, corporate reporting framework, and periodic performance reports. Additionally, this position includes high level strategic advice, supporting research and analysis on the performance of Victoria’s water entities.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification (or working towards a qualification) in accounting, business, finance, economics, business administration or equivalent (desirable).
- A sound understanding of and experience in the public sector, including knowledge and experience with the structure of government and decision-making processes (desirable).
- Demonstrated understanding of Victorian water frameworks (desirable).
This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
