Key Responsibilities:

Sub-national level stakeholders Engagement

  • Organize and prepare District WASH Committee meetings by preparing invitation letters, and agendas and taking meeting minutes.
  • Work closely with community leaders, partners, and LLG leaders to ensure WaSH interventions are implemented sustainably.
  • Support LLGs, Wards and the community in the development of their WASH Proposal and budgets to be submitted to the DDA

Field Activity Coordination and Logistics

  • Arrangement for logistics for field trips
  • Coordinate the implementation of field activities

Information Dissemination and Capacity Building

  • Disseminate proper information on Social Accountability intervention
  • Conduct Community CVA Capacity Building Training and establish Community CVA Committees
  • Organize community dialogues and create a feedback mechanism through which service providers and service users interface with each other.

Planning & Reporting

  • Do the monthly activity plan and provide reports about work completed in the communities
  • Prepare monthly Activity plans
  • Always report to the supervisor the updates of the activities conducted

Asset Management and Sustainability

  • Ensure all WV assets are properly taken care of when out in the field or in possession of these assets

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, community development, public health, or environmental studies, with additional training or certifications in project management, community engagement, or WaSH-related subjects being advantageous
  • At least 2 years of work experience in WASH program/project management within a development context. 
  • Understand and implement key development cross-cutting themes and policies including child protection, gender equality, environment, fraud, disability inclusion, protection, and peace-building.
  • Community Engagement: Proficient in leading community engagement and mobilization efforts in rural areas, with a strong capacity for building trustful relationships with community leaders.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated expertise in overseeing development projects from inception to completion, including field activity coordination and logistics management.
  • Capacity Building: Skilled in creating and implementing community training programs to enhance local capacity and establish effective community groups.
  • WaSH Expertise: Experienced in implementing sustainable WaSH programs, with a focus on community-led solutions and best practices.
  • Social Accountability: Knowledgeable in driving social accountability initiatives, and encouraging community involvement in governance through methods like CVA.
  • Asset Management: Competent in managing field assets, ensuring their proper maintenance and optimal use.
  • Communication: Excellent communication abilities, adept at report writing, information dissemination, and stakeholder updates.
  • Collaboration: Proven success in partnering with diverse stakeholders, including governmental and non-governmental organizations, for sustainable project outcomes.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Experienced in navigating multicultural environments with respect for local traditions and practices
