EFICOR seeks Consultant for its UNICEF-supported project,
To provide technical support in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana, ensuring the provision of secure and sustainable Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) facilities and services within schools, anganwadis, and health centers, including comprehensive management of menstrual hygiene. The consultant will support UNICEF WASH personnel to engage in advanced advocacy efforts across all three states, aiming to enhance policies and create an enabling environment for WASH in institutions, thereby contributing to the realization of pertinent Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 3, 4, and 6).

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Purpose of assignment:The consultant will support EFICOR and work in coordination with the UNICEF Hyderabad (WASH team), operating under the supervision of the UNICEF WASH Specialist. The role also entails close collaboration with Heads of Departments (HoDs) relevant to WASH in institutions.
MAJOR TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The consultant will assist in achieving the results outlined in the Rolling Work Plan for WASH in institutions and MHM for January to December 2024. The WASH Specialist, UNICEF HFO shall be technical supervisor supporting the Consultant in effectively carrying out the business.
- Provide technical support for effective Planning and Monitoring WASH programs in Institutions and MHM
- Demonstration of WASH complaint models with equity and Climate resilient lens
- Support in establishing / strengthening relevant Institutional mechanism on WASH in Institutions
- Strengthening Capacity Building system and processes
- Support in Knowledge management, research and strategic documentation
- Support in Advocacy and extending all necessary support to partners
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as social science, public health, environmental science, sustainable development, or a related field, from a reputable university.
- At least 5years of relevant professional experience in the field of WASH or allied programs.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, capacity building, advocacy, research, documentation, and monitoring.
- Specialized Experience (desired): Experience in WASH in Institutions and MHM will be added advantage.
- Fluency in English is essential. Working knowledge of Telugu and/or Kannada is a strong advantage.
- Communication Skills:Ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in managing relationships with multilateral donors and collaborating with government agencies.
- Solid understanding of the government sector and its functioning.
- Proven computer proficiency with expertise in database management programs and common software packages.
- Self-motivated, hardworking, energetic, and creative with strong analytical skills.
REMUNERATION
Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s work experience and last drawn salary and is subject to negotiation.
