EFICOR seeks State WASH Consultants for its UNICEF-supported project, “Strengthening WASH programs in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.” The main objective of this position is to support the state in implementation of SBM 2.0 (Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen II) , JJM (Jal-Jeevan-Mission), CCES (Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability), WASH in schools, Health care facilities and MHM (Menstrual hygiene management) , especially sustaining WASH outcomes.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Purpose of assignment: To provide technical support in Andhra Pradesh/Telangana for WASH programs (Sanitation, Water, WII and MHM) towards achieving goals of national flagship programs and SDG 6 targets.
Location: Based in Hyderabad/Vijayawada with extensive travel, up to 30% of the time, to project sites.
Major Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to state government and other partners to Strengthen policy and enabling environment for effective Implementation of SBM-II, JJM and WII.
- Support system strengthening, and planning, implementation and monitoring of WASH initiatives (including innovations) in Rural and Urban areas.
- Provide support in capacity development, institution building, EC/SBCC material development and stakeholder engagement in implementation of WASH programs on scale.
- Provide organizational support, manage partnerships, engage in UNICEF meetings, and ensure efficient implementation and timely fund utilization for UNICEF-supported activities at state and district levels.
- Monitor, evaluate, develop knowledge products, and report state/district-level program performance, utilizing WASH data analysis, and research for evidence-based advocacy.
Qualification and Requirements
Candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Candidates with fluency in English and working knowledge of Telugu is essential.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as social science, public health, environmental science, Engineering, sustainable development, or a related field, from a recognized university.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in the field of WASH-CCES or allied programs.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project management, demonstrating successful implementation of WASH-CCES or allied initiatives.
- Specialized Experience (desired): Experience in WASH-CCES policy/governance and planning.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in managing relationships with multilateral donors and collaborating with government agencies.
- Solid understanding of the government sector and its functioning.
- Proven computer proficiency with expertise in database management programs and common software packages.
- Self-motivated, hardworking, energetic, and creative with strong analytical skills.

REMUNERATION
Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s work experience and last drawn salary and is subject to negotiation.
