Waste Management Expert
Job Profile: The person should have good understanding, experience and exposure in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) domains. She/he will be responsible to oversee waste management, assess the present status of Solid and Liquid Waste Management and development of action plans for its improvement. The incumbent also will contribute in development of guidelines for efficient implementation of Solid and liquid waste management in the districts. Collate statistics and compile reports as per the timeline and monitor the quality and performance against the set parameters.The candidate can also extend support in designing IEC interventions for improved WASH practices.Maintain continuos liaison with governement line departments and development agencies for implmentation of existing schemes and sectoral convergence.Work with different key stakeholders including community-based institutions to ascertain the waste management issues and facilitate appropriate solutions.
Remuneration / Salary: CTC Rs. 50000/-pm
Qualification & Experience:
- A master’s degree in relevant discipline such as Civil engineering/Environment Science and experience of 5 years in WASH/Health sector with a min. 3 years of experience in SLWM.
- Must have experience and expertise working in rural communities and have a good understanding of community processes.
- Should have an adequate understanding of JJM and its scenario in the state.
- Must have expertise and experience on WASH issues and basic knowledge about groundwater systems.
- Good communication and documentation ability in English and Hindi and ability to develop a slandered report of the work.
- Ability to work independently with minimal daily supervision. Ability to use project data about implementation status in order to prioritize activities.
- Proven personnel management skills, including management of team and counterparts.
- Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Internet.
- Must have the skill to drive a two-wheeler and have a valid license.
