The Energy, Water, and Sustainable Environment Research Center at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) – College of Engineering, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher to fill a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the Center.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Renewable energy systems
- Energy conversion and storage
- Water resource management
- Water sustainable environmental practices.
- Sustainable cities and infrastructures
Qualifications and Skills Required
The applicant needs to have obtained a PhD in related engineering or other closely related disciplines. Also, she/he needs to have the following qualifications:
- Proven ability in conducting high-level research in the fields of energy, water, or sustainable environment. This includes a deep understanding of relevant methodologies, data analysis, and simulation techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and writing research proposals.
- A history of publishing in top-tier journals within the relevant fields.
- Solid background in mathematical modeling and analysis, particularly as applied to energy systems, water resource management, or environmental sustainability.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills are mandatory.
- A strong foundation in conducting research related to these fields is essential.
