As a Project Manager, you will be part of our Water Technology AG, a team of experts who innovate combining both technology and the power of natural forces and resources to create sustainable solutions that safeguard the quality and security of our water. You will manage projects involving our ‘in house’ innovative technologies, which are patented and proven to help our clients meet their sustainable, compliance and service delivery objectives.
What will you do as a Project Manager in Water Technology Vietnam AG
- Take responsibility for project organization and staffing in order to assure quality, costs and headlines and optimize the contribution of each discipline to achieving the project objectives.
- Responsible for executing projects with regard to acquisition, design, cooperation in purchasing – and coordination of their implementation, in accordance with the requirements set out in the project planning or commission with regard to budget, planning, safety and quality and taking account of client demands, in order to achieve the project’s objectives and optimize its financial result.
- Project Manager providing technical, managerial and marketing support as required.
- Commercial and technical management of projects within the office, ensuring that projects show a profitable result.
- Proactive management of scope and budgets for the overall project and all its constituent parts.
- Plan and resource all required activities to ensure project delivery to target.
- Co-ordinate the activities of all project team members to meet milestones and deadlines – Planning & Managing resources both internally and those of sub consultants.
- Directly manage and direct more junior staff as appropriate.
- Assist with writing proposals and preparing fee bids.
- Develop strong relationships with existing clients. • Manage regular project communications with clients throughout the project.
- Provide support to the project team as required.
- Providing sound management judgment and advice.
- Monitor costs and report on potential overruns, agreeing increases / add-ons as appropriate.
- Monitor progress against plan and take appropriate action to ensure compliance.
- Undertake risk assessment and contingency planning.
- Ensure all project members are regularly updated on the progress of the plan and any changes required.

General requirements
- Management of multiple multidisciplinary project team.
- Being end-responsible for planning, quality, cost, organization and information in the projects.
- Procedural orgnaizing of projects.
- Identifying project goals (internal and external) and maximizing project profits.
- Coaching and motivating junior and senior project managers and project teams to achieve high performance.
- Demonstrating strong project ownership, urgency, initiative and teamwork skills.
- Ability to working independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
Technical requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in resilience/water management, flood risk assessment, or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of working experience as Project Manager, preferably in ODA projects and wastewater treatment projects for multinational companies.
- Experience in design and/or site works
- Skilled in the use of AutoCAD for design, knowing Revit is plus.
- Skilled in the use of project management tools, such as Microsoft Office and MS Project.
- Ability to think and work at an academic level, with broad technical and managerial insights of water treatment projects.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English, and skills in writing comprehensive documents for review by foreign donors.
- Good communication skills, including group discussion leading, brainstorming and teamwork.
- Good ability to plan and manage project plan, schedule, budget and resources, and to see the big picture and understand complex situations (helicopter view).
- Contractual mindset, excellent team player, open and approachable personality.
- Availability for mobility and travel.
