What you will do as Senior Water-Related Urban Natural-Based Solutions (NBS) Expert
As a Senior Water-Related Urban Natural-Based Solutions (NBS) Expert, you get the chance to work internationally and in/from the Netherlands. With your strong advisory skills, you will work together with other experts in global and multidisciplinary teams on our diverse projects. You will help our clients implementing nature-based solution to reduce climate hazards and increase resiliency in an urban and regional context. This means you:
- Utilize your extensive expertise in urban NBS to design and implement innovative water-related solutions.
- Lead and mentor a team of NBS professionals.
- Provide technical and practical guidance to ensure the success of NBS projects.
- Collaborate on international projects, particularly in Africa and South America, to address water-related challenges.
- Oversee the development and execution of NBS strategies in urban areas.
- Drive research and development initiatives to advance the field of urban NBS.
- Share your knowledge and insights within the organization and with external partners.
- Demonstrate strong leadership in promoting Nature Based Approaches.
- Provide strategic advice for our clients globally.
- Engage with clients regularly and provide them with your best and independent advice. Think out of the box and look for creative and innovative solutions.

What you bring
To be successful in the role of Senior Water-Related Urban Natural-Based Solutions (NBS) Expert, you recognize yourself in the following characteristics:
- Master’s degree in a related field, with a Ph.D. preferred.
- Over 10 years of hands-on experience in urban NBS water-related projects.
- Proven international experience.
- Strong preference for candidates based in the Netherlands.
- Proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.
- Extensive technical and practical knowledge of NBS implementation.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- The ability to adapt to diverse environments and collaborate with a multicultural team
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with excellent written and verbal communication in English.
