Your new role

As our new Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work directly with clients to drive environmental impact while developing your expertise and consulting skills.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Working across a range of environmental and climate policy areas relevant to the EU Green Deal
  • Working on proposals and projects contributing to EU policy making, such as feasibility and strategy studies, policy analysis, evaluations, impact assessments, comparative studies and benchmarking, social and environmental cost and benefit analyses, stakeholder consultations
  • Conducting desk research, interviews, surveys, qualitative and quantitative analysis, data processing and modelling
  • Writing reports and drafting presentations for our clients
  • Undertaking administrative tasks

Your new team

You will be part of the Environment and Climate Policy team of Ramboll Management Consulting in Belgium, a dynamic and growing department with professional drive and a strong collaborative spirit. Based in Brussels, our multidisciplinary team is at the forefront of international sustainability efforts. We work primarily for the European Institutions and other public sector actors across various policy domains including Environment, Climate, Energy, Infrastructure, Buildings, Sustainable Cities, and Just transition. The working language of the team is English.

About you

These include:

  • A bachelor’s and a master’s degree (completed or in the process of doing so) in a topic related to sustainability (energy, climate, environment, economics, agriculture or a related area)
  • A strong commitment and wish to contribute to the sustainability transition, with a focus on EU policy
  • Strong analytical and drafting skills, including the ability to process large amounts of data from qualitative and quantitative sources
  • An excellent command of English, both written and oral, and ideally fluency in at least one more EU language
  • Expertise in advanced technics for the analysis of qualitative or quantitative data, including modelling, is seen as an advantage

Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include having an independent, pro-active personality, an interdisciplinary mind-set, good communication skills, a strong team spirit, and a genuine interest and commitment towards sustainability topics. You should also be organised, pay attention to detail, be able to communicate complex issues in a simple way both in writing and verbally, and be able to handle multiple priorities and a varied workload.

  • Remuneration of 1,200 EUR net per month (to be reviewed after 6 months based on performance)
