WWT is on a mission to restore over 100,000 ha of new wetlands to help reverse centuries of wetland loss in the UK, but also to show how critical wetlands are to our wider environment.

We are recruiting an engagement and science officer to work on a major coastal restoration project that will not only create nature rich habitats at scale, but also provide detailed evidence of the multiple benefits they generate. The successful candidate will work with the Principal Project Manager, Communication team and Conservation Evidence team to ensure the community engagement strategy and delivery fits within the wider Project Communication Strategy, and to help facilitate and advance social science research.

You will be responsible for managing landowner relationships and planning stakeholder engagement. The role will lead on engaging local communities in the project area and supporting co-design of the parts of the project focused on access, social benefits and community engagement. This is a unique and amazing opportunity to bring your skills to a major groundbreaking project which will also reward you with new and replicable skills and knowledge for the future. Come and join our growing team and help deliver our vision of a world where healthy wetland nature thrives and enriches lives.
