Offer Description

The UCAM-SENS unit and Hydro-MRLab are recruiting a PhD student.

Background

In a collaborative project between the UCAM-SENS unit and Hydro-MRLab, supported by “Fundación Estrella de Levante”, we aim to provide and demonstrate new analytical tools for the in situ and automatized monitoring of the water bodies in the Region of Murcia (Spain).

The UCAM-SENS is a scientific unit that strives for the true digital transformation of key domains such asHealth, Sport, Food and the Environment by using advanced (bio)chemical sensing based on electrochemistry and imaging principles. The Hydro-MRLab works in the evaluation of water systems based on imaging analysis
techniques through the installation of video cameras in a non-intrusive and continuous mode. The UCAM-SENS unit and Hydro-MRLab have merged their expertises in water monitoring through digital tools to build up a convergence project to investigate new monitoring actions applied to environmental water systems.

The project will be hosted at the HiTech (Health, Sport and Innovation Hub) research building, which is an international, multicultural and multidisciplinary environment where people, ideas, knowledge, and necessities meet together to pose and address new societal challenges.
