The ACT and Region Catchment Management Coordination Group (the Coordination Group) is an inter-jurisdictional statutory advisory group established under the ACT Water Resources Act 2007 to facilitate improved governance and coordination of water catchment activities within the ACT and the Australian Capital Water Catchment Region . The Coordination Group reports to the ACT Minister for Water, Energy and Emissions Reduction.
Job description
The ACT and Region Catchment Management Coordination Group is seeking a Water Expert for a three-year term. Role of Water Expert • Contribute to the scientific and technical understanding of members on a broad range of catchment and water management issues and provide insight into water planning, water quality and regional water matters. • Advise the Coordination Group of actions that may need to be progressed to help improve water quality, in-stream, riparian and catchment health. • Proactively bring significant water matters to the attention of members of the Coordination Group. • Contribute to and help shape the Coordination Group’s strategic document ACT and Region Catchment Strategy 2016-46. • Contribute to the preparation of agenda papers, submissions, and annual reporting, including through the development of case studies. • Other matter as determined by the Coordination Group.
