- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $139,787 to $161,663 + super
The Water Group leads the NSW Government in providing confidence to communities and stakeholders with the transparent stewardship of water resources, provision of services and reforms that support sustainable and healthy environments, economies and societies across NSW.??
The Manager, Aboriginal Water Program will work within the Strategy and Policy division and lead a team to develop, deliver, implement, and prepare advice on programs to advance Aboriginal water outcomes for NSW. This position also works with Aboriginal people to identify a program of measures to deliver on First Nations’ water rights and interests in water management.
This is an Aboriginal Identified role where Aboriginal identity, cultural knowledge or connections are a genuine aspect of the role. Positions are specifically noted under the provisions of the NSW Anti-discrimination Act (1977).
About You
Leading a team of up to 4 direct reports, you will develop and implement strategies and tools for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of program and projects, including risk and contingency management, continuous improvement, and project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues and assess project progress and overall effectiveness.
You will provide expert advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project issues and present recommendations to support project delivery in line with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy objectives and other project priorities and represent the Department on inter-jurisdictional and community committees, forums and meetings to identify potential opportunities and risks, present the government agenda and determine future strategy directions.
Key knowledge and experience
- Demonstrated experience in leading the development and delivery of programs to achieve priority objectives
Essential requirements
- A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
