Scope of Responsibilities:
• Working with geographic information systems (GIS) to solve problems, present data, and store information with relation to Watershed Development and Natural Resource Management ( It involves unaccompanied travel in interior rural areas).
• Maintaining and enhancing natural resource-based GIS data for the entire state.
• Developing geospatial models to perform spatial and tabular analysis, and publish cartographic products as static paper maps and dynamic web-based applications.
• Introduce the Geographical Information System (GIS) based project monitoring system for all watershed and watershed resource development (WRD) based projects using open-source GIS software and geo-tagging the structures.
• Organize training and capacity building activities for team mates and field functionaries
• Preparing GIS based E-DPR

The position requires:
• Updated knowledge on current GIS technologies.
• Capabilities with QGIS, Arc GIS Desktop 10.4.1 and Arc GIS Online.
• Working experience in Remote sensing and GIS application project.
• Knowledge on natural resources management.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Being cooperative with other team members.
• Communication, facilitation and organizing skills.

Eligibility criteria:
• Masters in Geology / Geography with specialization in Geoinformatics /Geological Remote Sensing/ GIS.
• Proven capabilities with ArcGIS Desktop 10.4.1 and ArcGIS Online.
• At least 5 years of experience in the field.
• Experience in collaborating with Government, Panchayati Raj Institutions and/or other development/ research Organizations.

Salary: Salary will commensurate with experience of the candidate and as per the market standard.
