RED is looking for two highly motivated weather and climate risk analysts to be integrated within its climate risk team. The successful candidates will contribute to the production of hazard and risk metrics for a large number of perils (including but not limited to flood, wind, landslide, wildfire, hail, heatwave), the development of hazard and risk models and the operation of climate intelligence tools for the insurance and the financial industries, as well as participate in other activities carried out by the climate risk team and by the whole company. The job is based in Pavia (Italy) and the possibility of remote working will be considered.
The successful candidate will perform the following tasks:
- Large-scale dataset processing and analysis;
- Hazard model development for several perils;
- Risk assessment and risk metrics development and interpretation;
- Operation of existing and new hazard and risk models;
- Support in any activity performed by the weather-related perils team;
- Autonomous work management, reporting and communication (internal and external).
