The research activity will be carried out in the field of pressure pipeline hydraulics and hydraulic data analysis. In particular: hydraulic simulations of the transient in pressure pipeline systems, preparation of synthetic datasets for training machine learning models with various anomalies, development of a pre-processing pipeline of hydraulic data, development of an anomaly detection methodology through the classification of the transient signal into normal or anomalous with the use of suitable machine learning algorithms (e. g. recurrent neural networks), development of an anomaly classification methodology using a multi-outputs machine learning model capable of providing the anomaly type…
