Objective and Purpose of the Assignment
Execution of Developing Resilient Environment And Advancing Municipal Services -I under LG&CDD
Scope of Work
The role and responsibilities entails: (i) Overseeing the installation, calibration, and maintenance of
water meters in the water supply system, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with
applicable standards and regulations (ii) Developing and implementing a comprehensive water meter
calibration and maintenance program to ensure accurate and reliable metering of water usage (iii)
Conducting regular inspections of water meter installations to ensure compliance with established
standards and regulations, and identifying and addressing any issues or deficiencies that arise (iv)
Working with local staff and contractors to provide training and guidance on the installation,
calibration, and maintenance of water meters, and assisting with the resolution of any technical or
operational issues that arise (v) Managing water billing and collection systems, including ensuring that
water meter readings are accurately recorded and reported, and developing and implementing systems to
monitor and manage customer accounts and billing (vi) Collaborating with other stakeholders, such as the
Resident Engineer and project management team, to provide input on project planning and implementation,
and to address any water meter-related issues or concerns that arise (vii) Performing other duties and
responsibilities as assigned by the Resident Engineer.
Detailed Tasks and/or Expected Output
Ensure proper installments and working of the water meter
Including required specification, monitoring, installation and working of water meters
Any task assigned by Project Director.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Possession of a Bachelor’s or preferably Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with
a major in civil / Environmental / Public Health Engineering or equivalent; must have at least 8 years’
experience in water meter installation, calibration, and maintenance of water meters, particularly in
large-scale water supply systems.
Strong knowledge of applicable standards and regulations for water meters, and experience in
developing and implementing water meter calibration and maintenance programs. Registration as a
Professional Engineer with Pakistan Engineering Council is desired.

Minimum Specific Experience (relevant to assignment): 8 Years
