Ramboll’s Netherlands office has a dynamic opportunity as Soil & Groundwater Lead within our Site Solutions group. The demand for Ramboll’s longstanding experience and expertise in groundwater and soil contamination is growing, especially on complex issues for companies and investors. The position offers a great opportunity for Consultants to gain a wealth of experience in challenging and diverse soil, redevelopment, environmental and safety projects. In doing so, you will often work with colleagues from Ramboll offices in other countries and other stakeholders.

We are also keen to hear from applicants who have strong acquisition/marketing skills gained in consultancy as well as experience in leading teams.

What is the role:

  • Responsible for the coordination/realisation of soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects, with preparation, evaluation and reporting in Dutch and English
  • Advisory role for specific soil and groundwater issues
  • Project management and leading project teams
  • Drafting safety plans for project implementation in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain contacts with customers, subcontractors and the internal network within Ramboll
  • Involvement in strategic soil advisory work in acquisitions or redevelopment
  • Translating customer requirements and drafting the approach in offers or tendres
  • Role in further development of soil and groundwater services, participation in international business development teams

Who are we looking for:

  • Candidates who possess a completed HBO or WO degree in Environmental Science, Earth Sciences, Land and Water Management, Physical Geography, Chemical Engineering or similar
  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience in consultancy, familiarity with working in an international consultancy environment is a plus
  • Good communication skills with clients, (sub)contractors, legal advisors and public authorities
  • Previous experience of managing a team is highly desirable
  • Good oral and written skills in Dutch and English
  • Ability to produce complex or concise written reports depending on the project
  • Well-organised, committed and a high-degree of independence
  • Taking initiative, solution-oriented thinking, persuasive and results-oriented
  • Proficient user of MS Office and professional software solutions
  • Driving licence (type B)
