Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India) is a non-denominational, non-government organization. AKRSP (I) was established in Gujarat in 1984 and it seeks to contribute to rural poverty reduction through community involvement and empowerment that leads to the efficient management and improved productivity of natural resources.
Designation: Programme Specialist (Natural Resource Management)
Location: Netrang
Education: Degree/diploma in Civil Engineering, Agriculture Engineering or Equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of implementation of various projects of water resources (Checkdams/ Tanks), land development and irrigation (canal. Mini lift irrigation/ solar irrigation).
Skills and competencies required:
• Construction management
• Work with team and farmers
• Knowledge of watershed development, irrigation management, forestry, solar energy
• Knowledge around Natural Farming and climate proofing intervention
• Competency in managing the project in totality and independently.
• Skill of dealing with different agency and organization.
• Financial management of project.
• Report writing and presentation skills.
• Liaison with Funding and Government agencies.
• Good analytical skills.
• Understanding of monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
Job Description:
• Manage a large multi-location project activities of water resource work (checkdams, tank and canal work), watershed management, irrigation development, climate proofing intervention and clean energy.
• Project planning, technical designs of structures, cost-estimates, implementation management, quality assurance, monitoring, reporting and government liaison.
• Preparing and submitting project progress reports.
• Piloting new approaches and technologies in NRM sector.
• A substantial amount of time is expected to be spent in the field to manage NRM programme.
• Project financial/budget planning and progress analysis, variance report
• Travel to field locations for monitoring and supervision
• Any other task assigned by AKRSP (I) management.
Salary: Salary will be offered as per candidate’s experience and qualification.
