Gravity Water is a US-based 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization focusing on turning rain into safe water for schools in need. Gravity Water is hiring for a Director of Operations to join Gravity Water’s Leadership Team as the primary individual responsible for overseeing the Organization’s program services. The Director of Operations reports to the Executive Director and will be part of a supportive and professional team of passionate individuals dedicated to building water security and climate resilience for communities in need.
The primary activities related to this position include (1) the direct management and oversight of Gravity Water’s program services in the APAC region; (2) assisting the Executive Director in developing long-term program growth strategies; and (3) assisting in the development and innovation of Gravity Water’s rainwater harvesting and filtration technologies. The Director of Operations position is open to international and domestic candidates and requires a physical presence in the Southeast Asia region.
Responsibilities
Essential job responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to:
- Manage and oversee Gravity Water’s Operations Team and initiatives throughout the APAC region
- Assist in long-term strategic planning and growth of Gravity Water’s operations
- Ensure national compliance with Gravity Water system standards, MEL, reporting
- Assist in strategic partnership development and management
- Assist in the continuous improvement, innovation, and development of Gravity Water’s technologies
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Reside in, or willing to relocate to, Southeast Asia
- Passion for building water security and climate resilience for communities in need
- Hold an advanced degree in a relatable field (Engineering, Management, Hydrology, etc.)
- 5+ Years of experience in a D-Level or leadership position
Desired Qualifications:
- WASH Program Management
- Experience in strategic and public-private partnership development
- Grant writing, proposal writing, financial modeling
- Hydrologic Engineering
- Extensive experience working in the international development or social enterprise sector
