This is an exciting opportunity for a post-doctoral researcher to hone and develop the myriad skills necessary for professorship at a Tier 1 research institution. This post-doc will work directly with Dr. Laura Bowling, co-PI of the Purdue Hydrologic Impacts Group (PHIG) and Director of the Natural Resources and Environmental Science (NRES) undergraduate program at Purdue University. In this position, the hired will provide leadership and contribute to multiple research projects within the PHIG lab. In addition, the successful applicant will contribute to undergraduate education and curriculum development through support for the NRES program, including leadership in the senior Service-Learning seminar, instruction of environmental field skills and mentoring of the Environmental Science Club. This post-doc will conduct research related to agricultural water resources and sustainable water use and/or the impact of agricultural subsurface drainage practices on hydrology and water quality with a goal to create applications for research findings that can strengthen the resiliency of agriculture and water resources under the stresses of a changing climate and rising demand of food and water security.
